About Us

LCS is headquartered at 1304 N. Rodney St. in Wilmington, Delaware, adjacent to St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, where it operates its largest and busiest pantry – open five days week. Altogether LCS distributes food at 13 separate locations in New Castle and Sussex Counties.

Housing assistance help is administered from both the Rodney St. Office and the LCS FAITH Center, at 226 N. Walnut St. in Wilmington. The FAITH Center offers a complete range of housing loans and grants for security deposits, rent and mortgage – plus help with utilities.

In following its mission – "Sharing God's Blessings by Helping Others in Need" – LCS is committed to making improvements to the lives of its clients. In addition to emergency assistance, we provide nutrition education and financial literacy help that we hope will encourage long-term changes in people's lives.
