Volunteers
Volunteers are the lifeblood of LCS’s support programs. About 350 volunteers provide over 12,000 hours of support to LCS each year.

LCS operates through funds received from corporations, charitable grants, Lutheran and other congregations, and individuals.

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans
Thrivent is a financial services organization for Lutherans. In addition to providing grants for specific local programs, Thrivent provides matching funds for donations to charitable Lutheran organizations.

Lutheran Community Services is an affiliate member of the United Way of Delaware. We only receive designated donations.

Legacy Seminar
Lutheran Community Services has designed a series of free luncheon seminars in that explain how the average person can use state of the art estate planning to create a legacy that benefits their church or charity as well as themselves. Seminars are scheduled for after the second service at three churches and should last no more than 90 minutes (including a catered lunch). The series is funded in part by a grant from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.
